In an interview with Geo News, Sharjeel Khan said that he is determined to make a strong comeback in the league and for this purpose, he has worked hard on his fitness and game in the last two years.
He said that two years away from the PSL was definitely a challenge for him, but he used this period to improve his fitness and improve his game. He said that it was not easy to perform immediately after a long break, but he prepared a lot to make a successful comeback.
Sharjeel said that it was during this time that he also realized that he needed the kind of fitness and routine to continue playing professional cricket for a long time. This, although realized too late, was very important to my career.
Sharjeel Khan revealed that he lost 28 kg in two years and focused on fitness. In this regard, he took the help of a professional trainer and nutritionist, who not only helped him lose weight, but also warned him to adopt a better lifestyle.
He said he continued to play domestically and in various leagues to challenge himself, while continuing to work on his fitness endlessly.
Regarding Hyderabad Kingsmen’s performance, Sharjeel Khan said that the team is new and needs time to establish the composition. He hoped that the team would improve its performance in the Karachi League stage. “We just need one win, then our strength will change,” said the Kingsmen batsman.
He called the atmosphere in the dressing room positive and said that the foreign players are also very supportive, which improves the harmony in the team.
Regarding the change in his batting position, Sharjeel Khan said that he was ready to play in the middle order as per the need of the team. According to him, when the team was finalized, he started batting practice in the middle about a month and a half ago so that he can play an effective role wherever the team needs him.
Regarding personal goals, Sherjil Khan said that his main goal is to contribute to the team’s success, he wants to play at least three to four matches in the tournament, which will help the team win.
On the absence of fans, he said that the lack of crowd is strongly felt, the crowd in Pakistan is always a source of energy for the teams, it is hoped that the fans will return in future matches so that we can enjoy cricket more.
