The world football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is close to the historic goal of 1000 goals in his career.
Ronaldo recently scored two goals for Al Nasr against Al Nejma to take his total to 967 goals and is just 33 goals away from that milestone.
However, it has been claimed on social media and some websites that Ronaldo’s career goals are 961, as the six goals in the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup are not officially counted.
According to these platforms, the tournament was a friendly competition.
At the same time, rumors started that FIFA itself did not recognize this tournament. But all these claims are baseless.

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) revealed that all of Ronaldo’s goals were genuine, including six disputed goals.
In addition, FIFA was among these goals when Ronaldo was congratulated for his 950th goal, which removed all doubts.
