In the 12th match of the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Islamabad United beat Rawalpindi by 7 wickets.
With the match played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore affected by rain, Islamabad United won the toss and invited Rawalpindi to bat first.
Rawalpindi scored 156 runs in the allotted 20 overs and set a target of 157 runs for Islamabad, which they won in the 15th over for the loss of 3 wickets.
From Islamabad United, Sameer Minhas played 70 balls with 36 balls, Haider Ali with 26 balls and Mark Chapman with 24 balls remained unbeaten.
Muhammed Amir, Jalalet Khan and Rashad Hussain of Rawalpindi took 1 wicket each.
Earlier, the Rawalpindi batting first set a target of 157 runs on the scoreboard thanks to Kamran Ghulam’s half-century and Diane Forrester’s impressive 44 runs.
Islamabad’s Faheem Ashraf, Salman Arshad and Gleeson took 2 and 2 wickets respectively.
After the results of this match, the Islamabad United team is in the second place and the Rawalpindi team is in the 7th place.
In the points table, Karachi Kings are first, Lahore Qalandars third, Multan Sultans fourth, Peshawar Zalmi fifth, Quetta Gladiators sixth and Hyderabad Kingsmen eighth.
