Indian Premier League (IPL) team Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Abhishek Sharma has landed in trouble for violating the code of conduct during an IPL match.
According to Indian media reports, Abhishek Sharma was booked and given a demerit point for violating the code of conduct during the match played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens.
According to reports, Abhishek Sharma protested his reaction after the dismissal and was fined 25 percent of the match fee and given one point.
The incident happened when Varun Chakraborty caught Abhishek on the ball of Blessing Mazarabani, where Abhishek stood on the stump for a while and expressed his feelings and returned to the pavilion while making gestures.
The cricketer’s dismissal was upheld after an on-field review, but he seemed unsatisfied with the decision.
In a statement issued by the IPL, it was said that Abhishek pleaded guilty to a Level 1 offense under Article 2.3 and accepted the decision of the match referee.
