The PCB has fined Fakhar Zaman in a ball-tampering case during the eleventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), national cricketer Fakhar Zaman has been suspended for two PSL matches.

The ban was imposed after he was found guilty of a third-degree felony for violating section 2.14 of the Code of Conduct.

It may be recalled that Fakhar Zaman of Lahore Qalandars was seen tampering with the ball in the last moments of the match played against Karachi Kings on March 29.

The umpires on the field changed the ball and awarded five runs to Lahore Qalandars.

The field judges sued Fakhar Zaman on this matter, he refused and requested an official hearing.

Later, the match referee Roshan Mahanama took the decision after examining all the evidence and gave the player a chance to present his position.

The team officials, including captain Shahin Shah Afrini, were present at the meeting.

Due to the ban, Fakhar Zaman cannot participate in his team’s 2 important matches against Multan Sultans and Islamabad United.
