In the fifth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Quetta Gladiators defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by 40 runs to complete their second win in the competition.
In this match played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Quetta Gladiators won and decided to bat first and posted a total of 174 runs on the board for the loss of 8 wickets.
As in the previous match, young Shemal Huseyn played 54 runs in this match, this is his second half-century in PSL.
Hasan Navaz scored 53 runs and Tom Curran got out after playing 31 runs and no other player could reach double figures.
For the Kingsmen, Meredith took three wickets while Mahesh Theakshana and Akif Javed took two wickets each.
In pursuit of the target, the Kingsmen team scored 134 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Irfan Khan Niazi won with 33 runs, Hasen Khan with 31 runs and Captain Marnes Labushin with 23 runs.
On behalf of Quetta Gladiators, Ebrar Ahmed took 3 wickets, Ahmed Daniyal took 2 wickets and Al-Zari Joseph, Usman Tariq and Saud Shakeel took one wicket each.
Shamal Hussain of Quetta Gladiators was adjudged the man of the match for playing a great game.
