A new and interesting tradition was observed in the opening match of the eleventh Pakistan Super League.
Yesterday, the captain of Lahore Qalendar Shaheen Shah Afridi and the captain of Hyderabad Kingsmen Marnes Labushin went to the field on the occasion of throwing two teams.
Both the captains have selected their final playing XI based on the toss result, which is made according to the new PSL rules.
Under the new rule, each captain can present two different team formations to the match referee before the toss.
One of these final teams must be selected after the toss, after which no team changes can be made without the permission of the opposing captain.
This rule is especially important for night matches, where dew becomes a major factor.
In the second innings, the spinners face problems due to the wet ball, which affects the team’s strategy.

This new rule will give the team a better balance, as the team batting first can add more fast bowls, while the team batting second can strengthen the batting order.
But due to the wind and clouds in the first match of the season, there was no significant effect of dew.
