Report: Dear Daniyal. The High Court of Peshawar today decided on the request to change the name of Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium to Imran Khan Stadium.

According to the petition, Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium has been replaced in the name of PTI of Qurbani and according to the guidelines public property cannot be dedicated to a living person.

Judge Syed Arshad Ali stated that there are decisions of the Peshawar High Court and Balochistan High Court, the government can build a new stadium and name it.

The High Court of Peshawar said that it will present the report and then the case will be heard, upon which the Additional Public Prosecutor asked for time for the report.

Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium is the only international cricket stadium in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where 15 one-day internationals and 6 test matches were played between 1984 and 2006, while the last international match was played in February 2006.
