Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that PSL 11 will start from March 26 as per schedule, but fans will not be invited.
President Mohsin Naqvi held an emergency press conference in Lahore along with PSL CEO Salman Naseer and said that the consultation about holding the PSL is ongoing and it is decided that the league will start from March 26 as per the schedule.
Mohsin Naqvi also said that in the current situation of the region, it has been decided to hold the match without fans as part of the savings campaign, the fans can get the ticket money back, they apologize to the fans and the PCB will pay the entrance fee to the franchises.
Mohsin Naqvi said that PSL is an international brand that includes foreign players, so postponing the event was not possible as there was no other window.
He said that it is decided to hold PSL matches only in two cities Karachi and Lahore and he will give a new schedule in which the movement of teams will be less.
The PCB chairman said that the opening ceremony has been cancelled, the expenses will not increase while the gate fee of the franchises will be paid by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
He said that if PSL is postponed, there will be no more window, it is an international brand, there is no security problem, all institutions are alert, before things are stopped, intelligence agencies should be proud, what will happen was not allowed.
