Report: Faizan Lakhani: Wimbledon tennis has decided to introduce a video review system for the first time, which allows players to appeal certain decisions of the chair umpire.

Video review facility will be available for all matches on Center Court and Court Number One, with review for single matches on the other four exhibition courts.

Since the role of the line judges is already eliminated after the electronic line call, the players will not be able to challenge the electronic line call decisions.

Decisions such as double tossing the ball or striking the racket body will be reviewed, there will be no limit to the number of reviews for players, and at the end of a point a review on a complaint of “hindrenness” will be possible.

While the US Open 2023 and Australian Open 2025 have already implemented the system, the ATP Tour will introduce video review at all events by next season.
