Former Pakistan Cricket Team coach Gary Kirsten said about his short coaching tenure in Pakistan that during his stint with the Pakistan team, unusual interventions and external pressures made the situation very difficult for him.

In an interview, Gary Kirsten said that it can be difficult for a coach to work effectively when there is constant outside noise and pressure.

He said that in such an environment it becomes a big challenge to set a clear strategy with the players and implement it.

According to the former coach, quick and violent reactions to poor team performance, disciplinary measures, affect the general atmosphere and create instability.

Gary Christon said that it is easy to restrict or replace the coach when the team does not meet their expectations, but according to Gary Christon this attitude is not beneficial.

He said that if a coach is given a responsibility, he should be given complete freedom to work according to his strategy.

However, he appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistani players and said that he had a good experience working with the team. According to him, like cricket players from all over the world, Pakistani players are talented and professional and it was a positive experience to work with them.

He added that despite the language difference, cricket is a language that connects everyone and helps in better communication on the field.
