Rwanda’s 15-year-old opener Fanny Utagushimaninde set several world records with a brilliant performance against Ghana in the Women’s International T20 in Nigeria.

Fani Yutagoshi Mande scored 111 off just 65 balls in her debut match to become the youngest player to score a century in the history of Women’s International T20 Cricket. He achieved this stage in his 15 years and 223 days.

The previous record was held by Uganda’s Prosscovia Alako, who scored a century against Mali in 2019 at 16 years and 233 days.

It should be noted that Goshi Mande’s innings was also declared the highest score in a Women’s T20I debut, breaking the record of 96 runs scored by Australia’s Karen Rolton against England in 2005.

Thanks to his brilliant batting, Rwanda scored 210 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, in reply the Ghanaian team was restricted to just 88 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and thus the Rwandan team won by a huge margin of 122 runs.
