Report: Soheyl Imran. The most expensive cricket league in the world, the Indian Premier League (IPL) cannot be called the best league. The World Cricket Association has announced the ranking of the world leagues.
According to Global Players Body, Indian Premier League, though an expensive league, needs improvements to be the best. IPL needs to improve the rights and welfare of the players.
Among the top ten leagues, the IPL is ranked third, while England’s The Hundred tops the list and South Africa’s SAT Twenty20 League comes second.
Hundred has been given 75.2 and SAT Twenty 68 ranking points while IPL has been given 62.6 ranking points.
BBL is fourth with 62.5 points and PSL is fifth with 48 points.
Sixth is MLC, seventh is ILT Twenty, eighth is CPL, ninth is Abu Dhabi T10 and tenth is BPL.
