The International Football Federation (FIFA) refused to transfer Iran’s matches from America to Mexico.
Iran’s sports minister announced a boycott of the FIFA World Cup after FIFA’s decision came out.
According to the FIFA spokesperson, the matches of the 2026 World Cup will be held according to the schedule, we are in contact with all the teams that participated in the mega event.
The FIFA spokesperson stated that they expect matches between football teams to be broadcast on December 6, 2025, according to the World Cup schedule.
Earlier, the Iranian Football Federation requested FIFA to move the World Cup matches from America to Mexico.
The head of the Iran Football Federation, Mehdi Taj, said that the discussions on moving our matches from America to Mexico are ongoing. When Donald Trump himself says that it is not right for us to go to America, we will not go, so the matches should be moved from America to Mexico.
Earlier, the president of the United States said that for the safety of the Iranian football team, it is better not to come to the United States.
