Pakistani cricketer Abrar Ahmed’s deal with Indian-owned franchise Sunrisers Leeds in the Hundred League for 190,000 pounds has sparked outrage among former Indian cricketers along with the Indian media.

After the criticism of the Indian media, the prejudice of the former captain of the Indian Cricket team Sunil Gavaskar also came forward.

In a column in an Indian newspaper, Sunil Gavaskar said that the salary Abrar Ahmed received would help in killing Indians.

Sunil Gavaskar says that Abrar Ahmed will pay taxes to the Pakistan government from the fees he receives and with that the government will buy weapons that will be indirectly used to kill Indian soldiers and civilians.

On the other hand, BCCI President Rajeev Shukla made a statement about Abrar Ahmed’s participation and said that this is a matter of a foreign league and not of our IPL.

Rajeev Shukla also said, it’s his decision, we can’t do anything, it doesn’t come under our rule, he did it in the foreign league that he owns.
