After 4 players of the Iranian women’s football team in Australia, the captain Zahra Qanberi decided to return to her country.

According to the news of Iran’s official agency, Zahra Qanberi has given up her request for asylum in Australia. He will soon go to Malaysia from Australia and then back to Iran.

Before now, three players and an employee decided to withdraw their request for asylum and return to their country.

It is worth mentioning that after the AFC ended in Australia, 6 members of the Iranian women’s football team remained in Australia.

Australian authorities have announced political asylum to these players.

4 out of 6 members of the team have already withdrawn their application and after the captain withdrew his application, now only one player is left.

According to Australian Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke, asylum has been requested for all Iranian team players and support staff.

The proposal was made due to the fear that if they return to Iran, they will be fined for not singing the national anthem of Iran during the competition.

According to Arab media, only 6 players and one staff member of the 26-member Iranian women’s football team accepted the Australian humanitarian asylum proposal, and the rest left Sydney on March 9 and returned to Iran and are still there.
