US President Donald Trump says that if the Iranian team comes to America to participate in the FIFA World Cup, their lives will be in danger.

According to reports, US President Donald Trump advised Iran’s national football team to stay away from the 2026 FIFA World Cup and said that this decision might be better for their lives and safety.

This announcement comes at a time when the tension between Iran and the United States is increasing.

The FIFA World Cup will be played jointly in America, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19 this year.

The Iranian team qualified for the World Cup for the fourth time in a row for the first time in Group A of Group A in the Asian competition.

But due to the recent political situation, Iran’s participation is uncertain.

The head of the Iranian Football Federation, Mehdi Taj, announced that it seems difficult to participate in the World Cup in the current situation.

Also, Iran’s sports minister announced in a televised interview that after the recent attacks and disturbances, it is not possible for his team to participate in the competition.

On the other hand, the President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, said earlier that it was confirmed by the President of the United States that the Iranian team will be welcomed in the tournament, because football is a means of connecting the world.
