The International Cricket Council (ICC) has condemned the failure of South African players who returned to the country after participating in the T20 World Cup.
South African players Quinton de Kock and David Miller, who are participating in the T20 World Cup that starts in India and Sri Lanka from February 7, took to social media to criticize the ICC for not having a uniform policy.
On the other hand, West Indian players who are waiting to return to the country also expressed their helplessness.
Quinton de Kock said, “It is unfortunate that the ICC has not yet contacted us when the England team is back in front of us.”
He added that the West Indian and South African teams are in the dark.
David Miller said it was “very useful” to have the England team fly back tonight on a chartered plane after West Indies and South Africa.
He said the South African and West Indies teams were still waiting for a response in Kolkata, while the ICC did not take much time to arrange a chartered flight for the England team.
David Miller also said that the West Indian team has been waiting for the return trip for 7 days and the South African team has been waiting for the return trip for 4 days.
It is worth recalling that the West Indies players also criticized the homecoming yesterday on social media.
