Pakistan fast bowler Salman Mirza has announced that he will take legal action against the journalist while reacting strongly to the wrong news of a private news channel.
Media reports had alleged that the Pakistani players had engaged in inappropriate behavior during the tour of Sri Lanka for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 and the hotel management had lodged a formal complaint with the team management.
In the continuation of the report, it was stated that after the alleged incident, the management of the team evaluated the matter and punished the player for violating the code of conduct.
However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) immediately rejected the news, calling it unacceptable and misleading. The board informed that spreading such news without confirmation is bad and irresponsible journalism and reserves the right to arrest those responsible for this issue.
Later, journalist Salman Mirza made a statement on social networks and strongly denied the news and said that a baseless news is spreading in the media and he condemns cheap journalism, no media house can publish false news.
Salman Mirza also said that the Pakistan Cricket Board has already rejected this news as false and baseless and they will take legal measures regarding the issue. He also called on the government of Pakistan to take strict action against those who spread wrong information.
