The T20 World Cup Player of the Tournament nominees have been announced

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the players shortlisted for the T20 World Cup player of the tournament, including Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan.

According to the list released by ICC, Sahibzada Farhan has performed brilliantly in the tournament and has scored 383 runs at an average of 76.60 and a strike rate of 160.25 in 7 matches.

Sahibzada Farhan also set a new record by scoring 383 runs in just 6 overs in a single edition of the T20 World Cup.

He scored centuries against Sri Lanka and Namibia and also became the only batsman in T20 World Cup history to score two centuries in one edition.

Other players nominated for player of the tournament are England’s Will Jacks and South Africa’s Lungi Ngidi, captain Aiden Markram is also there.

Apart from this, New Zealanders Rachin Ravindra and Tom Seifert, American Shadley Finn Skolvik and Indian Sanju Samson are also among the players of this honour.

It is worth mentioning that the ICCT World Twenty20 final is being played between India and New Zealand in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
