With the pink ball Test banned from the Ashes series, Australia and England will not play day-night Tests in the upcoming historic series.
Although Australia are guaranteed at least one night Test per season in the broadcasting deal, England do not want to play pink-ball Tests with them in the future.
The ECB feels that a series like the Ashes does not require such a match, but next year, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Test cricket, the match scheduled from March 11 to March 15 in Melbourne will be played in a day-night format with a pink ball.
This will be the final test between the two teams in the pink ball and day night format.
