In connection with the preparations for the semi-final against England in the ICCT World Twenty20, the Indian team postponed its training session due to the lunar eclipse.
According to Indian media reports, the Indian team management had planned to start practicing two days before the semi-final at 18:00 according to the traditional schedule, and in the official statement issued by the Indian management, it was said that the team will train from 18 to 21:00 at the Wakhande stadium.
But later it was learned that the lunar eclipse will start at 15:20 and last until 18:47 and according to Hindu religious traditions, during the lunar eclipse any good and important work is avoided because it is seen as unlucky.
Indian media say that according to sources, the team management and players after consultation decided that a positive start was necessary before an important match like the semi-final, so the practice session was postponed by about an hour.
According to the Indian report, a source confirmed that it has been deemed best to avoid any activity during the wedding ceremony, so the training will begin after 6:40 pm.
According to reports, the Indian team is making special arrangements for religious rituals and prayers during the tournament. Players also visit temples before matches in different cities.
It is worth mentioning that the Indian team reached the semi-finals by defeating the West Indies in the last match of the Super Eight stage and today they are facing England in the semi-final and today the first semi-final is being played between New Zealand and South Africa.
