Report: Soheyl Imran. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to appoint Sarfaraz Ahmed, the former captain of the national cricket team, as the head coach of the Pakistan Test Cricket team.

According to sources, Sarfaraz Ahmed will start the Pakistan Test series with Bangladesh and his appointment will be officially announced soon.

It is worth mentioning that the position of the coach of the Pakistan Test team was vacant, Azhar Mahmood was the caretaker manager in the series against South Africa.

The Pakistan team will play a two-match series against Bangladesh in May as part of the 2027 World Test Championship.

It is worth mentioning that the first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh starts on May 8 and the second one on May 16.

Note that Sarfaraz Ahmed has represented the country in 54 Test matches for Pakistan where he has scored 3031 runs including 4 centuries and 21 fifties.
