The biggest commercial deal in the history of Pakistan cricket.
According to reports, the four-year media rights of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been sold to Wily Technologies for Rs 26 billion.
There were three bidders in the competition for media rights, Wiley Technologies bid three billion more than the reserve price.
Matches may be shown on state TV screens when the two main sports channels are out of the running, giving them enough time to pay their dues, but face failure if they fail to do so.
Last year there were 34 PSL matches, now with the addition of 2 new teams, the number will increase to 44.
According to the rules, after deducting the production costs, in the case of broadcasting more than 3 billion rupees per year, 500,000 dollars of the excess amount will be kept for the contract with foreign icons, the remaining 80% will be given to the PCB and 20% to the franchise.
