Rain continued in and around R Premadasa in Colombo. Due to the continuous rain in Colombo, the referees announced the cancellation of the match.
It is worth mentioning that the last time of the match was 9:46. The match was supposed to start at 9:46, but the match was canceled before that time.
In the first match of the Super Eight stage in the T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan won and decided to face New Zealand first. The rain started immediately after the launch and continued.
