West Indies defeated Italy by 42 runs in the 37th match of ICCT World Twenty20.

In the match played at Eden Garden, Kolkata, Italy, he won a ball and decided to bowl first, in reply the West Indies team scored 165 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Captain Shahi Hope was the leading batsman for West Indies with 75 runs, he hit 6 fours and 4 sixes in 46 balls.

Chasing a target of 166 runs, the Italian team finished 18th after scoring 123 runs.

The upcoming match of this event will be played today between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe and later in the evening the teams of Afghanistan and Canada will face each other and the last match of the group stage tomorrow between Australia and Oman will be played in the evening.

The Super Eight phase will begin on Saturday, February 21 with the first match between Pakistan and New Zealand, followed by the national team against England on February 24 and Sri Lanka on February 28.
