Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has been fined for breaching the code of conduct at the 2026 ICCT Twenty20 World Cup.
According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Mohammad Nabi has been fined 15 percent of his match fee for a First Level offense in the Group D match against South Africa.
The incident took place at the start of Afghanistan’s 14th over, when Muhammad Nabi argued with the umpires over the armband worn by South African pacer Lungi Ngedi.
According to the ICC, at this time Muhammad Nabi did not follow the judge’s instructions, and actions were taken against him.
Muhammad Nabi violated Article 2.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which deals with disobeying the referee’s orders during an international match.
Needless to say, the match between the two teams turned out to be a thriller, with South Africa defeating Afghanistan in a very tight contest after two super dramatic overs.
