In the T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan defeated the USA by 32 runs to win the event for the second time in a row.

In this match played in Colombo, the United States of America (USA) won and invited Pakistan first.

After losing the previous match, facing each other for the first time, the Pakistani batsmen started the match with six fours. Sahibzada Farhan and Saeem Ayub completed the team’s fifty in 5 overs where Sahibzada Farhan hit 3 sixes and 4 fours while Saeem hit 3 sixes and a four.

Pakistan suffered their first loss with a total of 54 when Saeem Ayub was dismissed for 19 off 17 balls. When after adding two overs, captain Salman Ali Agha, who scored one, was dismissed for a total of 56.

Sahibzada Farhan combined with Babar Azam for the third wicket to complete his half-century in 27 balls and both players completed the team’s 100-run stand on the fifth ball of the 12th over.

A partnership of 81 runs from 53 balls between Farhan and Babar ended in 137 runs and Babar Azam was dismissed for 46 runs from 32 balls.

By the way, the fourth wicket was the same as the second wicket and after adding 6 runs, the national team lost its fourth wicket in the form of Sahibzada Farhan. Farhan was fired for 41 balls in 73 sessions.

Then came Shadab Khan and played a smoky 30 runs off 12 balls to take the national team to a huge total. He has a partnership of 34 runs with Muhammad Nawaz. A total of 177 people were arrested.

On behalf of USA, Shubham Ranjane played a good game with 51 runs and Shayan Jehangir was the other notable player who scored 49 runs.

On behalf of Pakistan Usman Tariq 3, Shadab Khan 2 and Muhammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed and Shaheen Afrini each scored a goal.

Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan was named the man of the match for her impressive batting performance.

With this win, Pakistan got four points and their chances of winning Super 8 improved.
