BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla thanked the ICC for allowing Pakistan to play India.
Speaking to the Indian media in Delhi, BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla said that the decision, which came after ICC’s talks with the Pakistan and Bangladesh Cricket Boards, is a positive and welcome development in the interest of cricket.
According to him, the ICC representative visited Lahore under the supervision of the president, where detailed discussions were held with the officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
The BCCI vice-president said the aim of the discussions was to prevent a crisis while resolving any dispute and was happy that all parties had agreed on an acceptable and amicable solution.
Rajiv Shukla termed this initiative as a big win for the ICC and said that the organization not only removed all concerns but also played a decisive role in Pakistan’s recovery.
He said that now the match scheduled on February 15 in Colombo will be held at its scheduled time and Pakistan will participate in the match which is good news for the fans.

The BCCI vice president pointed out that the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s reservations were largely lifted after these meetings and he also appreciated the ICC’s efforts.
Rajeev Shukla said that this decision is beneficial for all parties concerned and paved the way for the success of the World Cup.
According to him, it is a win-win situation for all parties concerned, with cricket emerging as the biggest winner.
