International Cricket Council (ICC) Vice President Imran Khawaja arrived in Lahore, Advisor to PCB President Aamir Mir welcomed Imran Khawaja at Lahore Airport.
ICC Vice President Imran Khawaja will meet PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam went to Pakistan, in a meeting with the PCB, the situation after the announcement of Pakistan’s boycott against India will be discussed.
These sources reveal that important decisions are expected in the meeting.
It is to be noted that Bangladesh have expressed security concerns for their team’s participation in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026 in India and requested a change of venue, which was rejected by the ICC.
Bangladesh announced that they would withdraw from the event in protest, so instead of talking to Bangladesh, the ICC excluded Bangladesh from the event and included Scotland.
Later, Pakistan termed the Cricket Council’s move as a double standard and shocked the cricket world by announcing a boycott of the match against India in solidarity with Bangladesh.
