The Australian team suffered another setback ahead of the ICCT World Twenty20.

According to Cricket Australia, fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup as he could not regain full fitness.

“We were hoping Hazlewood would be fit for the Super 8 stage, but he needs time to be fully fit,” said selector Tony Doodymead.

“We will announce the transfer immediately as we have the ball rolling for the opening matches,” said Tony Doodymead.

It is worth mentioning that before Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins also left the World Cup due to injury.

Australia are in Group B of the T20 World Cup and will open their campaign against Ireland on February 11 and spinner Adam Zampa has been declared fit for the opening match.
