Sri Lanka Cricket has requested the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to consider boycotting the match against India.
According to Sri Lankan media, Sri Lanka has written a letter to the Pakistan Cricket Board stating that the announcement of Pakistan’s boycott has affected Sri Lanka’s tourism sector.
The letter from Sri Lanka said that all the preparations for the India-Pakistan match have been completed, all the preparations for hosting the match have been completed including the sale of tickets, the sale of tickets for the India-Pakistan match has been completed, the demand for the tickets is also maximum.
The letter said that Sri Lanka Cricket has supported the Pakistan Cricket Board in difficult times, the Sri Lankan team visited Pakistan despite many difficulties, sensitive situations, security incidents.
Sri Lankan media say that in this context, Sri Lanka Cricket has requested Pakistan to review the decision, Sri Lanka has ensured the best security arrangements in all the games.
Sources reveal that other cricket boards have also requested not to boycott Pakistan and reconsider this decision.
