Despite Pakistan’s announcement that it will not play against India in the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on February 15, the Indian team will continue its schedule and travel to Sri Lanka.
The Indian team will conduct its training and pre-match duties as per all ICC protocols on the day of the match.
According to the information of the Indian Cricket Board, even if Pakistan does not enter the field, the team will reach the stadium and wait for the decision of the match referee. Despite Pakistan’s instructions not to participate in the match, she will complete her schedule.
The Pakistani team has announced a boycott of the match, in which case India may get 2 points as per ICC rules while Pakistan will be treated as a loser, which may affect the final score.
According to Indian sources and media reports, the team is fully prepared as per their schedule and will ensure their presence on the day of the match.
