Pakistan beat Australia by a huge margin of 90 runs in the second T20 match of the series to take a 0-2 lead in the three-match series. Pakistan defeated Australia in T20 series after 7 years.
In the match played in Lahore, Pakistan won and decided to bat first, with the national team scoring 198 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Captain Salman Ali Akha scored 76 runs, Usman Khan scored 53 runs, Saim Ayyub scored 23 runs and Shadab Khan scored 28 runs.
For Australia, Revere Bartlett, Matthew Cunnheiman, Shane Abbott, Adam Zampa and Cooper Connolly took a wicket each.
The Australian team was bowled out for 108 runs in the 16th over.
Cameron Greene 35 and Matthew Short 27 were top scorers for the visiting team, while 7 batsmen failed to reach double figures.
All the Australian wickets were taken by Pakistani spinners. Shadab Khan and Abrar Ahmed 3, Usman Tariq 3, Sayem Ayyub and Muhammad Nawaz dismissed one player each.
With this victory, Pakistan won the series and took a 0-2 lead.
The captain of the Pakistan team, Salman Axa, spoke after being kicked out at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and said that 3 changes were made in the team for today’s match.
Usman Tariq, Fahim Ashraf and Nasim Shah took part in the 11th game and Shaheen Shah Afrini, Salman Mirza and Fakher Zaman did not play today’s match.
