Report: Feyzan Lakhani. The 2026 Ice Hockey World Cup schedule has been announced, with matches to be played in Egypt, India and Chile.
According to the International Ice Hockey Federation (FIH), Chile will have men’s and women’s competition, India will have only women’s competition and Chile will have only men’s competition.
Pakistan hockey team will participate in the tournament in Egypt which will be played from March 1 to 7 in Ismaili.
Apart from Pakistan, the teams of Egypt, England, Malaysia, Japan, Austria, China and America will play. Pakistan hockey team will compete in Group B with China, Malaysia and Austria. The Pakistan team will play China on March 1, Malaysia on March 2 and Austria on March 4.
Three teams from both men’s competitions will qualify for the World Cup, and the fourth-placed team will also qualify for the 2026 Hockey World Cup.
The 2026 Hockey World Cup will be played in August in Belgium and the Netherlands, 16 teams will participate in the event, and the Netherlands and Belgium have already hosted.
