Arrival of West Indies umpire to Pakistan for Presidents Trophy matches

West Indies umpire Christopher Mark Taylor has arrived in Pakistan under the ICC Umpire Exchange Program in connection with the President’s Grade One Trophy.

Christopher Mark Taylor will officiate as field umpire in three first-class matches of the President’s Trophy.

The 45-year-old Chris Taylor from Jamaica has so far umpired in five women’s ODIs and three T20Is.

He also has the experience of umpiring 41 First Class, 56 List A and 53 T20 matches.

The fifth round of the trophy will begin today with Ghani Glass taking on Sui Northern Gas, Sahir Associates taking on State Bank, KRL taking on Sarkari TV and OGDCL taking on WAPDA in Pakistan.

According to the PCB, under the umpire exchange programme, Taylor will not only get an opportunity to gain experience abroad, but will also help in training and mentoring local umpires through his experience and observations in the domestic cricket circuit of West Indies.
