Haris Rauf, the most successful player of the current season of the Big Bash League, is in doubt for the inclusion of the Pakistani team.

According to media sources, national team coach Mike Hessen has decided to exclude fast bowler Haris Rauf from the squad for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Sources say the decision came after Haris Rauf’s disappointing performance in the 2025 Asia Cup final, where he scored 50 runs without taking any wicket.

Interestingly, Haris Rauf has been successful in the Big Bash League recently, picking up 18 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 17.11.

However, he was not included in the initial 15-man list submitted by Pakistan to the ICC.

It is worth mentioning that the last day to announce the team for the T20 World Cup is January 31.
