According to reports, the meeting of the PSL Management Council was held in the past few days, the owners of the two new teams also participated, according to the information, the members have agreed to start their 11th season on March 26, before that it was proposed to open on March 23.
The most important issue in the meeting was about the draft or the auction, the Chairman of the Board of Directors Mohsin Naqvi tried to convince the team owners to accept the open auction formula, it would benefit the players a lot, it seemed that some owners agreed with it while others wanted the draft.
The debate will continue on this issue, the players’ retention will be further discussed, the current system is to retain 8 players, but with the addition of 2 new teams, this is not possible, so the PCB wants to retain 3 players from each team, however, the new franchises are in favor of zero retention, the old teams are in favor of 5.
Yesterday, 6 online franchise members participated, 2 franchise representatives were present in the meeting.
