The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced the dates for Australia’s T20I tour of Pakistan later this month, ahead of the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup in February.

The three matches are scheduled to take place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on January 29, 31 and February 1, the PCB said in a statement. The draw will take place at 5:30 p.m. and the matches will begin at 6 p.m.

The Australian T20I team will arrive in Lahore on January 28.

“The series constitutes a crucial moment of play for both teams ahead of the all-important ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2026, where Pakistan are placed in Group A and Australia in Group B,” PCB said.

This is the third time Australia has visited Pakistan; They played a three-match Test and ODI series in March-April 2022, followed by a solitary T20I where they secured a narrow three-wicket victory at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Australia also played three of their 2025 Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan.

“We are delighted and looking forward to welcoming Australia for the three-match T20I series here in Lahore,” said Sumair Ahmed Syed, Chief Operating Officer of PCB.

“The tour marks a successful start to the year for Pakistan Cricket fans and I urge them to turn out in large numbers during the series to support both teams as they put the finishing touches to their preparations for the T20 World Cup.”

The COO added: “I am sure Gaddafi Stadium has become a familiar sight for the Australian cricket team as they have played one Test, five ODIs and one T20I there since March 2022.”

1st T20I: January 29; 6 p.m.

2nd T20I: January 31; 6 p.m.

3rd T20I: February 1; 6 p.m.
