Australian Cricket Team captain Alyssa Healy has announced her retirement.

According to Cricket Australia, the batsman-keeper will retire from all formats after the upcoming series against India.

35-year-old Alyssa Healy started her career in 2010, has scored more than 7 thousand runs in 295 international matches and has taken 275 wickets.

The women’s cricketer, who took over as full-time captain in 2023, has contributed to 8 ICC World Cup titles.

Alyssa Healy is the wife of Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc.

Alyssa Healy says, “It is with mixed feelings that I announce my retirement after the India series. I still have the desire to play for Australia but I may have lost the competitive side so it is a good time to retire.”

He says I won’t be part of the T20 team but will play the ODI and the next Test against India at home.
