Report: Arfa Firoz Zeki. Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) is focusing on FIFA to promote football in Pakistan and the best infrastructure.

The President of the Pakistan Football Federation, Mohsin Gilani, in a private conversation with Geo News in Islamabad, announced that the PFF will look at the infrastructure in FIFA before talking to the government about football stadiums, because the PFF wants to bring foreign investments to the country instead of giving importance to the government on the issue of infrastructure.

Mohsin Geelani said that two mini-fields have arrived in Pakistan, which will be held in Islamabad and Lahore, while the AFC will also provide two training grounds.

He said that Jinnah Stadium is not according to AFC rules, where a lot of money is spent and after repeated investments, Jinnah Stadium is according to international rules.

President PFF said that in the stadium construction program, PFF will try to build the first FIFA stadium in Pakistan because how will PFF organize football matches when international stadiums are not in Pakistan.

Regarding the future plan, Mohsin Geelani said that PFF wants to manage the women’s league along with the district, provincial and national leagues.

He also said that we want to have a football league in Pakistan with the experience of Pakistan Super League, but Pakistan football lacks infrastructure, resources are scarce and football stadiums are not available.

The PFF president said that domestic football in Pakistan has not worked for years and football management has been lacking, but we will decide when the football league will be based on the available football stadiums.

Mohsin Geelani says that United Nations Youth, PFF, Prime Minister’s Youth Program will work together on the mental health of the youth through football and we are also bringing the Football for Schools program with the help of which Pakistan will get talent from schools before football clubs.

Mohsin Gilani continued his speech and said that PFF will restore football in schools and distribute more than 1000 footballs in schools. FIFA is starting a program to create a program in countries that do not have stadiums.

He said that he recently had a meeting with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, in which he told Mohsin Naqvi that PCB is a successful organization, PFF wants expert recommendations from the cricket board, to which Mohsin Naqvi gave a positive response and assured that it will make football successful in Pakistan.

Mohsin Geelani said that football and cricket are two major sports of Pakistan and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi wants to promote all sports in the country and I also want PCB and PFF to work together for football and cricket.
