The New Zealand Cricket Board has announced the 15-man squad for the ICCT World Twenty20.
Finn Allen, Michael Braswell, Mark Champman, Dion Conway and Jacob Duffy will be led by Mitchell Santner in the mega-event that starts on February 7 in India and Sri Lanka next month.
Apart from him, other players include Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Jamie Nesham, Glenn Phillips, Richan Ravindra, batsman-keeper Tim Seifert and Ash Sodhi.
Note that the fast bowling section includes Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry and Adam Mullen along with Jacob Duffy, while Jimmy Neesham is part of the team as a fast bowling all-rounder. Kyle Jamieson will also travel with the team as a fast bowling reserve.
According to the New Zealand Cricket Board, Finn Allen (finger/hamstring), Mark Chapman (knuckle), Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry (bruise) and Mitch Santner (adductor) are returning from various injuries and according to team management, all players are on track to be fit for the tournament.
According to reports, Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry are expected to give birth during the tournament, so they may be given a short break.
