Sri Lanka Cricket has released an update regarding preparations for the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup.
According to the announcement of Sri Lanka Cricket, preparations for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup are continuing at the Sindh Sports Club (SSC) ground.
The SSCT20 World Cup is among the main host venues, with the opening match between Pakistan and Netherlands to be played on February 7, 2026.
The installation of the most advanced lighting system in the SSC ground is underway, 630 LED lights are installed on 6 high towers.
According to a statement by the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, players’ dressing rooms and officials’ offices are being renovated, broadcast control rooms and commentary rooms are equipped with modern equipment for the T20 World Cup.
