Due to the violation of the national sports policy, the Pakistan Sports Council issued a final notice to the 3 national federations and instructed the officials to resign within 7 days, otherwise they will be banned.
The Sports Council of Pakistan issued final notices to the senior officials of the 3 sports federations of the country for not following the sports policy.
Geo News has obtained information from the PSB, according to which some officials of Pakistan Judo Federation, Pakistan Taekwondo Federation and Pakistan Wrestling Federation are holding their posts beyond the stipulated period.
According to the sports policy, after completing 2 terms of 4, 4 years, no official can stay on his duty, but some officials of the three federations completely violate the national sports policy.
In the announcement, it was stated that the officials who took part in the additional period should resign within 7 days. Otherwise, the Pakistan Sports Authority will have the right to ban them without further notice.
According to the PSB, in case of ban, the concerned persons will not be eligible to participate, represent or collaborate in any national and international sports events.
Furthermore, they will not be able to establish any kind of financial support, sports facilities, equipment, or association with any organization or federation associated with Pakistan Sports Board.
The statement has also been sent to all departments, federations and sports organizations not to cooperate and communicate with these authorities during the ban.
