The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has completed the technical evaluation for the sale of two new Pakistan Super League (PSL) teams.

According to details, the Pakistan Cricket Board has completed the technical evaluation of the tenders awarded for the two new franchises.

The PCB received 12 bids from all over the world, after their review, 10 were announced.

10 parties that meet the technical criteria will participate in the auction stage.

The auction process for the two new teams will be held on January 8, 2026 at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad.

Successful parties will be able to choose names from Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad and Sialkot.

PSL General Manager Salman Naseer while congratulating the selected tenders said that great interest is being received from local and foreign investors.

He said that the expansion of PSL is moving towards an important stage. More details on the team auction will be released soon.
