Two Pakistani women have created a new history in sailing

Report: Atiqur Rehman. Two Pakistani women in sailing completed the first round to become international sailing judges for the first time and created a new history.

Zoya Asad Ali and Mehnaz Jameel participated in the World Sailing International Seminar held in Thailand and after the seminar both Pakistani sailors passed the exam with good grades.

For the first time in Pakistan, women completed the course of judges and these two women sailors are members of Pakistan Air Force yacht club.

Both female sailors from Pakistan should participate in three international events within 4 years and after seeing their performance in international competitions they will get the status of International Sailing Judge.

Earlier, three Pakistani sailors were international judges in sailing. The late Captain Zakaullah Chaudhry and Admiral Retd Khalid Mehmood Akhtar were judges of International Sailing in the 80s.

In 1996, Captain Arsed qualified and obtained an International Judging Certificate and is currently an International Competition Officer. Zoya Asad Ali is the granddaughter of International Race Officer Captain Arshad.
