Former England cricketer Darren Gough criticized the English Cricket Board for having foreign coaches and selectors for the English team.
Darren Gough criticized the English Cricket Board and said that coach Brendon McCullum is lucky to stay in the job despite the defeat, I like the way he is playing but he needs to improve.
He said that Brendon McCullum will be under pressure and his scrutiny will increase.
Darren Gough said, “I was heartbroken to be given the role of Australia’s Marcus North. I felt bad. I could have struggled in a lot of ways. I’m smarter now.”
“I’m not as angry as I was 10 years ago,” he added, “it’s a difficult role that requires a lot of fine-tuning.”
Darren Gough also said that they say the county and England cricket will be closer, but I don’t think it will happen because our coach is from New Zealand and the selectors are from Australia.
It is worth mentioning that the English Cricket Board has appointed Marcus North, a former cricketer from Australia, as the selector of the men’s team, while the former athlete-batsman of New Zealand Brendon McCullum is the coach of the England team.
