Yuvraj Singh opened up about his battle with cancer

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has revealed that immediately after winning the 2011 World Cup, doctors warned him that he would have only three to six months to live if he did not undergo chemotherapy immediately.

According to the Indian report, Yuvraj Singh said that he continued in the 2011 World Cup despite severe pain and was named as the best player of the tournament, but during that period his health condition is getting worse.

He said he was at the peak of his career then and was hoping for a permanent place in the Test team after Ganguly’s retirement, but the illness broke him inside.

Yuvraj said that his doctor in Delhi explained the situation clearly to him that the tumor is between heart and lung, if you don’t treat it it may cause heart attack and only three to six months left, then Yuvraj went to America for treatment and was treated there.

According to the Indian report, Yuvraj Singh said that the mental battle was more difficult than the physical treatment, Anil Kumble and Sachin Tendulkar also encouraged him.

It should be noted that after the successful treatment, Yuvraj Singh returned to cricket in just six months and represented India in the 2012 T20 World Cup.
