Ahead of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), important developments have emerged regarding the player’s arrest.
According to reports, Peshawar Zalmi has decided to retain their captain Babar Azam, while the team’s opening batsman Saim Ayyub is likely to be released.
Sources say that both Babar Azam and Saeem Ayub are considered in the platinum category of Peshawar Zalmi, however, as per PSL rules, each franchise can only have one player in a category. So Peshawar Zalmi decided to release Seem Ayub in favor of captain Babar Azam.
More sources said that Saeem Ayub will now be available for all franchises in the PSL players auction where other teams will bid for him in their squad.
It is worth mentioning that the franchises will finalize the remaining players list for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League today and after that the auction stages of the players will begin.
