FIFA’s Head of Global Football Development and former Arsenal FC coach, Arsene Wenger, highlighted the football talent in Pakistan.
Arsene Wenger spoke to the media on the occasion of the 56th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland and stated that there is a plan to establish a football academy in Pakistan.
He says that Pakistan’s population is its greatest strength. With a population of 25 crores, Pakistan is a great country in terms of talent, where football can be developed in a systematic manner.
Arsene Wenger said that he met with representatives of Pakistan and discussed the establishment of a football academy in the country, which he said could be an important first step to train young players and strengthen the football base.
On the question of visiting Pakistan, Wenger said that he definitely wants to come, but it is difficult because of the 211 countries of the world and the time to reduce the schedule, but his desire and plan is to come to Pakistan.

It is worth mentioning that in the same event, FIFA President Gianni Infantino has announced that he will visit Pakistan soon.
He said that he will come to Pakistan soon and take practical steps for the development of football as promised by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
